Reverence capital

New York, NY

A private investment firm founded in 2013 by Milton Berlinski, Peter Aberg and Alex Chulack to focus on thematic investing in leading global, middle-market financial services and opportunistic, structured credit and credit-related investments, Reverence Capital pays homage in its name to clients who range from individuals and trusts to funds of funds, pension plans and endowments. The firm’s new, one-floor, 13,743-squarefoot office in midtown Manhattan was designed by BR Design as a crisply detailed, minimally furnished and subtly illuminated contemporary space. While reduced to its essentials, the 50-person facility comes alive with the architectural geometries of its triangular floor plan, the effective use of furnishings to define space, and the role that façades of neighboring office towers play in providing color and pattern. The reception area, private and shared offices, executive offices, meeting rooms, conference rooms, 25-person boardroom, wellness room and pantry are arranged around the open center, with glass-fronted perimeter offices bringing the panorama of the city indoors. The boardroom is clearly the main feature, incorporating a high acoustic ceiling, distinctive pendant and cove lighting, marble millwork, multi-media wall, display wall for artwork, and moss-covered accent wall. Modern design and technology converge here in a uniquely New York moment.
